CentralCoastLinks.com to Raise Money and Awareness for Charities

source: Tri-County Business & Technology Review

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. -- CentralCoastLinks.com (CCL) owner and developer PolyInteractive announced it will be donating 10% of all future sales from the community based site to local charities. The Sexual Assault and Rape Prevention (SARP) Center will be the first organizations to benefit from the donations generated from CCL, and will be featured in the Community Spotlight section of CCL.

It is expected that the ongoing project will generate funding and awareness for local non-profit organizations that help improve the quality of living in San Luis Obispo and northern Santa Barbara.

The site contains more than 18,000 business listings and creates revenue by selling IQwindows (Information Quick Windows) that provided additional information about local businesses, such as pictures, maps, business descriptions, store hours, links, and contact information, providing locals and tourists a portal for finding the products or services they need.

PolyInteractive President Erinn Taylor said, "Along with donating 10% of gross sales and raising awareness for the local charities, CCL will continue to provide free IQwindows to Non-Profit Organizations. It takes community support for a project like Central Coast Links to be successful, and we want to do our part to support that community."

Along with a redesign of the Web site to make the site easier to use, CCL has developed an integrated system for allowing customers to easily maintain the content of their own IQwindow. The new back-end system uses easy to use forms to allow customers to login as often as they want to update their product info and company description, to change pictures, or purchase banner ads.

It is the SARP Center's (www.sarpslo.org) mission to ensure the provision of comprehensive and accessible crisis intervention and treatment services to survivors of sexual assault and abuse and to increase awareness and promote prevention in the community. Along with other services, the SARP Center maintains a 24-hour Crisis and Support Hotline for sexual assault survivors and their significant others (800-656-HOPE).

PolyInteractive (www.polyinteractive.com) is a web development firm, comprising Cal Poly alumni and students, which focuses on e-commerce, online distribution, and back-end integration.
